The Center for Pottery Studies is a CESDER project that began operations in February 2005 and is located in the municipality of San Miguel Tenextatiloyan.
The project aims to support the pottery industry in the region from a holistic perspective and to strengthen the technical and political capacities and skills of the population.
Another objective is the technological conversion of pottery enterprises in the region. This technological conversion is based on the research, testing and dissemination of new methods for the production of pottery through education and training processes with the aim of improving and sustaining the lives of artisans.
